2012 Junior Gran Prix Point Challenge
Accept the "CHALLENGE" Accumulate points throughout the 2012 Tournament season by entering and playing in USTA UTAH sanctioned junior tournaments (Open divisions ONLY). The individuals with the highest point totals in each AGE division, Singles and Doubles, Boys and Girls will be recognized at the end of the tournament season at an awards ceremony and party. Each age division winner will receive an award and prizes from our sponsors, vendors, and Utah Tennis. In addition to the division winners the two juniors (1 boy, 1 girl) who have accumulated the highest point totals, after all age divisions are combined, including singles and doubles will be named the 2012 "Utah Tennis Junior Tournament Player of the Year". These two juniors will each receive, for their accomplishments, merchandise from Head/PENN Racquet Sports and a scholarship from CourtThink Tennis to attend a camp at the Green Valley Resort. They will also receive an award and prizes from sponsors who support Utah Tennis and The Junior Gran Prix Point Challenge.
How to Earn Points
Players accumulate points throughout the 2012 Tournament season by entering and playing in USTA Utah sanctioned junior tournaments (Open divisions ONLY). Three (3) tournaments will be considered our "GRAND SLAM" events for the 2012 Junior Gran Prix series. If any player wins all three tournaments, in the same event and age division, in the 2012 Gran Prix season he/she will be awarded an additional 500 bonus points. Points are awarded in tournaments with consolation; however, points possible will be one-half (1/2) of that awarded in the main draw. For more details, please review the Junior Gran Prix Rules and Regulations. These points are independent of, and have NO bearing on, tournament seeding!
Players earn points as follows:
50 Points - Entering & playing 1st round match
20 Points - Each match player WINS (wins by default included)

Updating Your Membership Information
Contact information must be updated through USTA either by calling 1-800-990-USTA (8782) (found on the back of your USTA card) or sending an email to USTA Member Services. Data entered in a tournament stays in that tournament and doesn't update the USTA database, nor does it transfer to the next tournament. When entering/updating, please remember to enter a valid weekend-friendly phone number (preferably cell instead of office), so we can contact you should the need arise. If we cannot contact you, and you don't show for your match, you will be defaulted.
