Linda Vincent, Executive Director
Linda has worked for the Utah Tennis Association for the past 20 years. She was first hired as the Administrative Assistant in 1988. She also held the position of Tournament and Junior Competition Coordinator prior to being appointed the Executive Director in 1996. Linda first got involved as a tennis parent and volunteer and also served on the Utah Association Board.

Linda became interested in tennis when she was 35. Her family was already playing so she decided it was time to join the fun and started taking lessons from Warren Eber at the Snowbird Canyon Racquet Club. 26 years later she's still having fun. She is rated a 4.0, and for a brief...very brief time .. she was rated a 4.5. The worst physical injury that she has suffered on the tennis court is tennis elbow. Her biggest personal win was when she won the Women's 4.0 Club Championships at SCRC in singles and doubles in the same year.

Some of her favorite top pro players she has seen compete in person are Andre Agassi, Roger Ferderer, and Venus Williams @ the 2006 US OPEN. She also in 2000, had the opportunity to meet Vitas Gerulaitus at, of all places, a deli in New York City while he was shopping for a magazine and Linda asked, and he graciously gave her his autograph. Her favorite pro tennis player is Andre Agassi because she had the opportunity to watch him play since he was 12 years old in junior Intermountain events. Her son, Drake played Andre in the ITA Sweetheart Circuit in the 14's.

Linda loves her work and finds it challenging but also very rewarding. The Utah Tennis Association wouldn't be the same without her.

Fritz Heinecke, Adult League Coordinator
Fritz has been on the staff for 15 years. He was introduced to Tennis by a friend in 1972 and now has been playing for a little more than 30 years. He has a 4.0 NTRP rating and has had a 5.0 NTRP rating at one time.

According to Fritz, his nickname on-court is *!-+!?*-. His racquet is a Prince. Some of his biggest personal singles wins have been against Hal Cannon, Lee Hammel, Ray Skillings, & Terry Walters. His biggest doubles win was against Clark Robinson & brother. Fritz's "secret weapon" on-court is his left-handed shots.

The best player he has ever seen compete live is Jimmy Connors. He has met an array of famous players, such as: John Lloyd, Bjorn Borg, Billie Jean King, Rod Laver, Fred Stolle, and John Newcombe. His favorite player is Andre Agassi because he is an old guy who can still compete.

Fritz's worst physical injury that he suffered on the tennis court was a torn ACL and Meniscus.

He prefers wearing a hat in the outdoors. He can speak French, Spanish, and is a past President of the Cottonwood Country Club. One other thing about Fritz is that he loves to play golf (8 Handicap) and Fly-Fish (Trout!) Fritz is a great guy and does a good job here at the Utah Tennis Association.

Shanda Stoner, Data Entry/Web Administrator/Program Assistant

Shanda joined UTA in August 2008 when her youngest child went to school full time.  Shanda loves working @ UTA because if she isn't playing (3 or 4 times per week) tennis she might was well make a living working in the tennis community (
or at least to help pay for her tennis habit).    Rob-her husband says when asked what does you wife do he says "she plays tennis for a living" .  Shanda has been playing for 4 years and has met some of her best friends playing tennis.

She has been lucky enough to meet Darren Cayhill, Cliff Drysale, John Lloyd, Murphy Jensen, Ross Case, Lori McNeil and Kathy Rinaldi @ Cliff's tennis club in Key Biscayne, Florida in October 2008.  I also had the chance to meet James Blake & the Bryan Brother's at a Exhibition that Andre Agassi put on in November of 2006 in Boise.  My first visit to the US Open was in 2006 and I loved every minute of it I got to see Maria Sharapova, James Blake, Carlos Moya, and the hottest bad boy of tennis Marat Safin play.  OH I WILL MISS HIM!!!!

Shanda & Rob have three children and the whole family loves to play.
