Recently, Utah Tennis Association honored special members of the 2022 tennis community. One of those people is Victoria Cooksey who earned the Ruby Hammel Outstanding Female High School Player. Victoria plays for Layton High School.
This award recognizes a female athlete for her achievements in high school tennis and also for their overall performance, team spirit, sportsmanship and attitude both on and off the court. Victoria was presented this award by Ruby Hammel, who spent over 50 years teaching and inspiring young female athletes.
